Loss adjuster Crawford & Company has unveiled Crawford College - a training centre based at the firm's Birmingham office.

The college will provide classroom-based learning and intranet online courses on key areas, including technical expertise, background knowledge, practical skills and IT capabilities.

The company says the training syllabus offered by the college conforms to General Insurance Standards Council (GISC) requirements.

The president of international operations, Jeffrey T. Bowman, opened the centre today. "Superior training for our employees is one of Crawford's core values," he commented.

"The opening of our college in the UK is yet another example of our commitment to making our employees the best they can be, so we can in turn give our clients the highest level of service."
