It is official: Friday the 13th is the unluckiest day of all.

And Backchat thinks underwriters will soon be factoring it in when calculating motor premiums.

Research from Norwich Union (NU) suggests there are more reasons to be extra cautious on Friday the 13th than it was originally thought.

Apparently, more motor claims are made on this unluckiest day than at any other time in the year.

In the past five years there have been six unlucky Fridays. "They have generated the worst volumes of motor accidents we have seen," an NU spokesman said.

Here's a bit of advice: don't buy your motor insurance on Friday!
