Staff from disaster restoration specialist The Revival Company definitely had their work cut out when they attended a clean-up at Shell's former headquarters on London's Embankment.

Sewerage and foul water had cascaded into the ground floor of the building, which has now been converted into luxury flats, and into the basement, which now houses a swimming pool.

The fetid flood is believed to have occurred when a junior drainage technician opened the bottom of the waste water pipe to inspect the cause of the blockage.

Fortunately, the Revival Company staff had strong stomachs and worked flat out to clean up the muck within just two days.
