Evolution Underwriting has appointed Matthew Gates as commercial underwriter.
Gates will report to Paul Upton, chief underwriting officer. Evolution said his key responsibilities will include handling new and existing business for both property and liability.
In addition, he will help develop relationships with Evolution's panel of 250 provincial commercial insurance brokers.
Prior to joining Evolution, Gates worked as commercial underwriter for NIG Insurance, Norwich Union and Independent Insurance.
