Thousands of people affected by the 7 July bomb attacks on London are being exploited by claims farmers, according to the Law Society.
Victims and their families have been contacted by firms seeking compensation claim fees, despite the availability of free advice. Victims may be eligible for compensation via the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act and the London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund.
Kevin Martin, Law Society president, said: "Claims firms are luring people into agreements that will entitle them to large shares of payments. Our worry is that victims will sign agreements that are not in their best interests".
Those seeking advice are being urged to consult their solicitor or call the London Bombings Legal Helpline on 0800 731 4796.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
