Listed insurer Chaucer has appointed Chris Forbes to succeed John Parton as the chairman of its Lloyd's operation Chaucer Syndicates.
Parton, 70, retired on 31 December 2001. He had also been a non-executive director of Chaucer since its flotation in 1993.
Forbes, the former managing director of Faraday Underwriting, joined Chaucer as a non-executive director in September 2001.
