Fusion Insurance is to provide free online health and safety training to all policyholders and their employees.
Fusion said its decision to introduce the training follows demand from policyholders and brokers and a 9% increase in the number of UK work-related injury claims faced by employers last year.
The company said the training, provided by Safety Media, will aim to create a safer working environment for its policyholders and reduce employee injuries and subsequent claims in the future.
Kevin Pallett, managing director of Fusion, said: "Although many employers are vigilant about health and safety training, they are still at risk of litigation if they fail in their duty of care and an employee has an accident at work.
"Our new online health and safety training allows companies to maintain a tight control on employees' training requirements and schedule training where required. Making the workplace safer can only be good news for employers."
