Mma Insurance
Broker-only insurer MMA Insurance has appointed Paul Price as a new field sales representative for London, East Anglia and South East England to join its business development team.

Price has more than 19 years' experience in the insurance industry, working for both an insurer and intermediaries, most recently at Budget Insurance Services.

Ascot Underwriting
Ascot Underwriting, the new Lloyd's managing agency backed by AIG, which commenced underwriting last November, has appointed two new underwriters to its Syndicate 1414.

Annabel Fell-Clark has joined as fine art underwriter from Hiscox, where she held the fine art account from January 1999.

Julian Barker has joined as war and political risks underwriter. Previously, he worked at Glenrand, where he was managing director of its political risks division.

Ecclesiastical
Ecclesiastical Insurance has appointed Simon Whitson as the manager responsible for its customer relationship management system.

He has worked at Ecclesiastical since 1988.

Healthsure
Healthsure has appointed Martin Stubbs as an account development co-ordinator to provide support to companies that are Healthsure customers in Northampton and surrounding areas.

BROKERS
Towry Law
Towry Law Insurance Brokers has appointed Jane Walker and Mark Tompkinson to its business insurance division, based in the Birmingham office.

Sales manager Jane Walker, who joined Towry Law on 2 February, joins from Heartland Insurance where she was a senior account executive for six years.

Reporting to Walker will be development executive Mark Tomkinson. He joined Towry Law on 14 January from Ward Evans Corporate where he was a new business executive.

ITIC
The International Transport Intermediaries' Club (ITIC) has appointed Joanne Thompson to its claims and underwriting team as an account executive. She will be responsible for underwriting claims and marketing to the members of the club in many countries including India, Israel, Greece, Malta and the UK. She joins from the crew and injury department at Steamship Insurance Management Services.

Bartlett Group
Mike Ellis joins the Bartlett Group as senior casualty insurance broker. He has more than 12 years' experience and joins from AXA where he was underwriting manager.

Lawcost Underwriting
Lawcost Underwriting announces the appointment of four area managers to its mortgage division: Alan Spicker - North East; Paul Bennett - Central; James Carter - Wales and John Harrop for the South West.

Aon
Aon has appointed John Keeble as director of knowledge management. He joins from Enterprise Oil where he was head of knowledge management.

LEGAL
James Chapman
Quentin Underhill, a partner in James Chapman's personal injury department, has become the North West representative on the national Forum of Insurance Lawyers (Foil).

Amelans
Amelans has appointed Nick Upright as head of its employers' liability department, and Kerry Millward, who qualifies as a solicitor in May, to the road traffic department.

Croftons
Simon Leighton has been appointed partner in Croftons' personal injury department. He joins from Bolton-based firm Keoghs where he was also a partner.

Greenwoods
Greenwoods announces four new appointments to its personal injury practice. Malcolm Henke and Steven Howcroft join from Barlow Lyde and Gilbert, while Graham Briggs and Tim Wain join from Taylor Joynson Garret.

OTHER
ABS
ABS Bodyshop Services has appointed Kevin Hesketh as national network manager to oversee the team of eight regional network managers. He joined ABS in 1990 having previously worked for ten years as regional engineering manager at Direct Line Insurance.

Touchstone
Paul White joins Touchstone Group as managing director of its financial systems division. He joins from Systems Union where he held a variety of senior roles including product marketing manager and channel sales director.

Highway
Highway Emergency Services has appointed James Aspin as operations director. Previously, he was director of operations with NTL, managing one of the UK's largest field networks.

Previous appointments have included positions with Cable & Wireless, the RAC and a division of Littlewoods.

Mondial Assistance
Carol Rusdale-Jones has been appointed as business development manager at Mondial Assistance. She has more than 15 years' experience in the industry and joins from AXA Insurance where she was key account manager.

Munters
Steve Rodger has joined Munters' Falkirk office as area dispatcher for Scotland and North East England. He joins from the RAC response centre in Glasgow, where he was response manager.
