Lark InsuranceLark Insurance Broking Group has appointed Mark Woodward as a director. Woodward has 20 years' industry experience. He has worked as commercial divisional director and more recently as branch director at Lark's office in Maidstone. He will be primarily responsible for the continued growth and development of the Maidstone office.

Motaquote Wales-based Motaquote has appointed Linda Haggett as its new deputy managing director.Haggett joined Motaquote five years ago as personnel manager before being promoted to human resources director. Before joining Motaquote, she worked for AXA Assurance in Swansea for six years, where she was the office sales manager. Prior to that, she has worked at Chase Manhattan Bank and the Official Receivers of Bankruptcy in the High Court.

Bray Wintour PatisBray Wintour Patis (BWP) has appointed a new manager, Allison Britz, for its Exeter broking operation.In her new role as head of BWP's Exeter office, Britz succeeds Celeste Saunders, who is relocating to London to take up an associate director role within BWP's professional indemnity (PI) team. Britz will be responsible for the development of BWP's business in the South West region, including its online PI facility for brokers. She will also have control of the day-do-day management of the office. Britz most recently worked for Bentley West Country in Exeter. She has also held roles within the financial services, business development and advertising sectors.

Network ExtraGraham Hutton has been appointed as account executive of Network Extra. Hutton's background has been in financial services, including roles in sales, customer service and relationship management.

Aon Risk ServicesAon Risk Services has appointed Joanna Caparn as chief executive designate, personal and group programmes, with effect from 1 June. Caparn has spent the past ten years with Bupa, where she was a member of the executive committee with responsibility for the UK consumer business. Before joining Bupa, she was previously employed in client management and business development roles in the construction and airline industries.Peter Friend, the current chief executive of Aon's personal and group programmes, will retire at the end of this year, after ten years in the post.

Park LondonLloyd's broker Park London has appointed Brian Dyer to head up a new wholesale casualty insurance division. Dyer, who has more than 30 years' experience of underwriting professional liability business in the London market, is joining the Park Group as a partner to focus on building a team of specialist casualty insurance brokers.

Blackmore HeathBlackmore Heath has appointed Bernard Self as senior commercial executive, based at its Sittingbourne offices.Self has more than 30 years' broking experience in the local markets, dealing predominantly with corporate clients. In his new role he will be responsible for developing Blackmore Heath's SME account.

Towergate Towergate has appointed a new regional managing director.Mark Armitage has joined as Western region managing director. He previously worked at Norwich Union, where he was regional manager.

Creechurch Creechurch Underwriting has appointed Ian Fordham as underwriting operations manager for the accident and health classes of business written by Syndicates 1607 and 2607.Fordham was formally the independent reviewer for the syndicates and has 30 years' underwriting experience in Lloyd's.

Fortis Insurance Chris Dobson has joined Fortis Insurance as distribution and development director.Based in the Eastleigh office, Dobson takes responsibility for sales and marketing. He will focus on optimising Fortis's relationships with the distribution channel.Previously broker and affinity schemes director for personal lines with Royal & SunAlliance, Dobson has 24 years' experience of the insurance industry, including roles within marketing, product development, sales and commercial underwriting.

Allianz CornhillAllianz Cornhill has appointed Steve Williams as its new regional manager for the North West.Williams was previously with Royal and SunAlliance as North West regional director. He will be based in Allianz Cornhill's Manchester office. Allianz Cornhill has also appointed Alex Stuart as its regional manager for Scotland. Stuart will be based in Glasgow. His previous roles included assistant property insurance manager for AXA and underwriting and claims director for PremierLine.

Amlin Amlin has appointed Nigel Buchanan as a non-executive director, with immediate effect. He has also joined the company's audit committee.Buchanan retired as a senior client partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2001, where he specialised in financial services clients. He was also a member of the Ethics Standards Board of the Accounting Foundation until it was superseded in 2002.He is currently also a non-executive director of Leopold Joseph Holdings and a trustee of the Outward Bound Trust.

Ace EuropeAce Europe has appointed Colin McKellar to the role of director of branch operations, UK and Ireland.Based in Glasgow, McKellar has responsibility for the operational management of Ace's 11-strong regional network, as well as UK business underwritten through its London headquarters.

Fusion InsuranceFusion Insurance has appointed Paul Crump as property underwriting manager, based in London.Crump has joined from Allianz Cornhill, where he was business manager. He has more than 25 years' industry experience and has previously worked for Zurich Insurance, New Zealand Insurance Company, Independent Insurance and Prudential Assurance.

Improveline Improveline, a property repair company based in the South East, has appointed Joep Ketelaar, left, as commercial director.Ketelaar has been with Improveline for five years in a variety of roles. Also joining Improveline, as sales manager, is Kevin Williams, formerly regional sales manager at Lifefitness UK.

Kinnect Lloyd's Kinnect chairman Iain Saville has appointed Andy Brookes as his deputy.Brookes is an ex-colleague of Saville's from the Bank of England, where he was head of division, responsible for UK high value payment systems. Prior to this position, he helped to establish the electronic security settlement system at CREST.

Heath Lambert ConsultingHeath Lambert Group has appointed Andrew Whiteley as managing director of its pensions and employee benefits subsidiary, Heath Lambert Consulting. Whiteley has joined from Marsh, where he was a director on the executive management board of Marsh Employee Benefits Services.

JLT Risk SolutionsJLT Risk Solutions has appointed three senior members to its project finance team.Andrew Birt, from Aon, and Paula Shillaw, from Price Forbes, have joined the transactional team. Dick Revett, from Willis, has joined the financiers due diligence team.

IPRSRehabilitation and injury management provider IPRS has appointed Martyn Jackson as managing director of its industry division.Jackson has more than 20 years' industry experience, and has joined IPRS from Aon, where he spent five years as a director. He had previously held senior positions at the AA and Green Flag.
