Marsh
Marsh has appointed Roger Egan as president.

Egan joined Marsh in 1972 and has advanced through management positions of increasing responsibility. He headed the North East region prior to becoming president and chief executive of North America, the post he held until his appointment as vice chairman in 2002.

Carole Nash
Carole Nash Insurance Consultants has recruited former Norwich Union motor schemes underwriter Dave Jessop to the newly created role of head of product development. Jessop joins from Churchill Insurance where he was group motorcycle and commercial vehicle controller responsible for underwriting and pricing. Prior to that he spent 18 years at Norwich Union earning successive promotions to become motor schemes underwriter.

Jessop will report directly to product development director, Malcolm Nash. His appointment follows Carole Nash's diversification into motorcycle security, service and repair and its entry to the classic car insurance sector.

Budget
The Budget Group has appointed Jon Ardron to the role of operational development director.

Reporting directly to Budget's chief executive, Peter Winslow, and joining the board of Budget, Ardron will be responsible for shaping the company's strategy programme. In addition, Ardron will have specific responsibility for the company's information technology, infrastructure management, print operations and fulfillment, and facilities management.

Ardron brings experience gained in the financial services and IT sectors. His earlier career was spent at Bank of America, developing and delivering corporate treasury and cash management services for many of the world's largest corporations. His most recent roles were with the Thomas Cook Group as managing director of E-business, and as group chief information officer, with worldwide responsibility for technology and business change.

Ardron will be based at Budget's head office in Peterborough.

MMA
MMA business development executive Paul Bamford has been promoted to the newly-created role of key account manager. Bamford joins recently appointed key account manager Daniel Andrews and together they will be focusing on developing business and developing a closer relationship with MMA's larger intermediaries.

FM Global
FM Global has named Lawrence Lea as account manager to oversee the needs of European clients in the power generation industry. Lea, who will work from FM Global's Windsor office, will also be responsible for assisting the company with its business growth in this industry sector.

With more than 25 years of experience, Lea has specialised experience in underwriting and engineering risks in the power industry, both at the construction project and operational phases.

Prior to joining FM Global, he worked in various underwriting and engineering roles for various insurers including, HSBC, Royal Re and Swiss Re.

NFU Mutual
NFU Mutual has appointed Bernard Drake as general insurance operations manager. Drake, who previously held the position of regional manager for the Midlands, will be primarily responsible for co-ordinating operational issues across NFU Mutual's UK-wide regional and branch network.

IBB
Aidan Loy has joined IBB as a senior lawyer. Loy is an employment specialist who has acted on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters and has experience of European employment issues. Loy is also experienced in providing corporate transaction support in the employment sector on mergers, acquisitions and MBOs.

Prophet Share
Graham Coxell has joined software and services business Prophit Share as chief executive. Coxell, who was formerly chief executive of Marlborough Stirling, brings experience in software development and outsourcing to Prophet Share. Prophit Share specialises in software products aimed specifically at insurance companies.

Company focus
TL Clowes develop sports and commercial accounts

T L Clowes, part of the THB Group, has announced several senior appointments.

Greg Mead has been appointed as senior account executive to develop the commercial and sports accounts. Mead has over 16 years' experience of working for specialist motorsport and Lloyd's brokers.

Gilly Watts has been appointed as senior broker within the London-based accident and health division. She will be focusing on the development of wholesale personal accident and travel business.

Andrew McAdams has been appointed as senior account executive in the sport and travel division. McAdams has 20 years' experience in marine, non-marine and aviation insurance. He will also be running the motorsport on and off-track facilities.
