Zurich Municipal has appointed John Barrett as specialist markets manager, responsible for further education, higher education and schools.

With more than 20 years' insurance industry experience, Barrett joins from MMA Insurance where, as UK sales manager, he had responsibility for sales and business development.

Temple Legal Protection
Temple Legal Protection has appointed Kevin Moxham as regional manager.

In his new role, he will be in charge of Temple's client relationships in England and Wales.

Moxham has 12 years of experience in customer relations and service.

Hardy Underwriting
Henry Glasse has joined Hardy Syndicate 382 from Kiln. Glasse has been appointed non-marine deputy with the task of expanding Hardy's current non-marine portfolio. He has been underwriting for over 20 years in the Lloyd's Market.

CNA Europe
Mark Iceton has joined CNA as senior underwriter, casualty, with specific responsibility for developing its casualty portfolio in London. Iceton joins from AIG, London, where he was assistant vice president, casualty, for eight years. He previously worked for Winterthur, also based in London, for five years as a casualty underwriter.

NFU Mutual
NFU Mutual has appointed Kim Arif as deputy general manager, finance. He joined NFU Mutual as assistant actuary in 1990, and subsequently moved up through the life division, before being appointed life financial controller in 1998.

He became assistant general manager, finance in October 2001.

David Fangen
The joint boards of David Fangen Insurance Brokers and W Burch and Sons have appointed Mark Shand, who joins from Norwich Union.

Thompson & Richardson Group
The Thompson & Richardson Group has appointed three new members to its Lincoln broking team.

They are associate directors Stan Matthews and Trevor Burton, together with account manager Andy Rutherford. All three join from Oughtred & Harrison.

Group Direct
Martyn Holman has been appointed to the board of Group Direct. His key responsibilities will be managing insurer relationships and developing the commercial broking operation - CVD Commercial. Previously he was broking director for Marsh Advantage and agency director for Zenith at Lloyd's.

Reynolds Porter Chamberlain
Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) has appointed Adrian Martin as chief executive.

Martin is the former managing partner of BDO Stoy Hayward, the UK's sixth largest accountancy firm. During his nine years as managing partner of BDO Stoy Hayward, he oversaw the growth of the firm from a 60-partner London office with a fee income of £59m to a 230-partner 30-office firm with £200m in fee income.

Martin is RPC's first chief executive and the firm's first appointment at such a senior position from outside the legal profession.

Ross & Co
Jane Martineau has joined Ross & Co as equity partner.

She joins from Oxford firm Henmans. She brings her assistant Emma Rampton with her.

DWF
DWF has appointed five new partners. Andrea Wild becomes a partner in the DWF HRhorizons team. Insurance specialists Ian McCubbin and Dave Young become partners in the firm's insurance team.

Katherine Lawson has been promoted within the business recovery team. Paul Attwood becomes a partner in the corporate team.

In addition, six new solicitors have joined the firm: Alison Courtier and Tim Knowles join DWF HRhorizons; Helen Clark and Karen Cavanagh join the Liverpool insurance team; Samantha Harris joins the Manchester insurance team and Mark Burnet joins the Liverpool wealthcare team.

Accenture
Accenture announces that two high profile experts are joining its UK insurance practice.

Mark Robertson joins as a partner. He moves from CGEY, where he was the head of their UK and Ireland insurance practice. Prior to working at CGEY, Robertson held senior operations and strategy roles at Norwich Union and National and Provincial.

Helen Brown joins as an associate partner. She moves from IBM, where she worked for 14 years. She led IBM's Solution sales for insurance.

Wheelies Direct
Wheelies Direct has appointed Neil Robertson as claims department manager in its Swansea Claim Centre.

Robertson joins from HSBC, where he was responsible for the training and development of customer service operatives in the UK and India.

Accidentcare
Motoring solutions provider Accidentcare has appointed Celia McGovern as its operations manager.

She will be responsible for the delivery of all Accidentcare's motoring solutions and claims management services to clients and partners.

McGovern joins the company from the Miller Fisher Group where she was claims operations manager.

She has been involved in the insurance claims industry since 1990 including positions with Thomas Howell Group Loss Adjusters and its subsidiary THG (Claims Management), Corporate Outsource and Cunninghams UK.

Elite
Elite Incident Management has appointed Trevor Cutts as managing director. He joined Elite in June 2001 as operations manager with responsibility for ensuring that Elite's high levels of service are maintained. He was responsible for the introduction of Elite into the fleet market and in delivery of first class incident management support services.

Cutts has more than ten years' experience within the insurance industry, having held a variety of senior and managerial positions.

ISS Ark & General
Disaster recovery and BCM specialist ISS Ark & General has recently appointed Donal O'Donovan as its Ireland regional manager. Based at the company's Dublin brand, O'Donovan has many years' experience in disaster management in Ireland and comes from an engineering and project management background

Mercury International
Mercury International Claims and Assistance has appointed Paul Daynes to the newly created position of sales manager. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management and brings with him a wealth of sales experience. He joins Mercury after four years at Europ Assistance where he was responsible for new business production.

Universal Salvage
Universal Salvage has appointed Peter Goodright as insurance sales director.

With more than 20 year's experience in the insurance industry, his role will be to strengthen links with insurers and develop Universal's services within the marketplace.

Goodright joins Universal Salvage from Link Insurance where he was claims director.
