The Primary Group has appointed Tim Berry as managing director and Helen Dwyer as operations director. Both Berry and Dwyer were previously directors of Primary Direct.
NIG
NIG makes two appointments. Graham Billett is appointed remote services manager. He will be responsible for managing the IT interests and staff of all remote sites. Fiona Czarnecki is appointed user support manager. She will be responsible for the IT helpdesk.
Independent Insurance
Lee Turner has taken on the role of regional sales manager at Independent Insurance's Reading office. He has been with the company for six years.
Beazley
Lloyd's syndicate Beazley has made four appointments. Steve Bashford has joined to help develop the UK professional indemnity account. Julian Brown joins a specialist team to develop the international account. Richard O'Donovan joins the company as property group underwriting administrator. Jonathan Brett joins to assist the claims manager.
Unum
Joanne Hindle has been appointed director of legal and external affairs for Unum, the income protection insurer. Originally trained as a lawyer, Hindle moved into financial services in 1986 with the British Insurance Brokers Association and became the first chief executive of IFA Promotion three years later. In 1997 she was appointed director of pensions development for NatWest Life.
Combined Insurance
Clive Robinson has been appointed managing director and senior vice-president for European and Pacific Operations at Combined Insurance, the largest underwriting subsidiary of Aon.
Marsh
Stephen Mooney has been appointed northern regional director of Marsh. He will be based in Manchester. His previous role was as head of office in Bristol and deputy regional director of the central region.
Bland Bankart Financial Services
Gareth Roberts has joined Bland Bankart Financial Services as a consultant. He will be responsible for the development of new corporate business and building closer ties with legal and accountancy practices.
Miller Insurance Group
Martin Gray has been appointed to the holdings board of Miller Insurance Group.
Davies Wallis Foyster
Richard Knight has been appointed as a specialist property solicitor for north west law firm Davies Wallis Foyster. The firm has also appointed Catherina Akaraonye as a solicitor in its Liverpool office.
Taylor Nelson Sofres
Tony Anderson has been appointed ecommerce director for the market research company Taylor Nelson Sofres. He was previously at the internet bank Egg where he was retail marketing director.
High Finance
Patrick Goodwin is to head High Finance (HF), a new division of Technology Search & Selection. HF will focus on placing permanent and interim accountants into the financial services market. Goodwin has worked in the sector for the past six years with two large recruitment firms in London.
