GoshawK Re is to be renamed and rebranded as Rosemont Reinsurance, in a move to further separate it from the discontinued operations within the GoshawK group.
GoshawK said the changes, which will come into effect on 30 April 2004, will differentiate its Bermuda-based subsidiary and allow the underwriting team to continue building a new franchise for the reinsurer.
Rosemont Re exited several lines at the end of 2003, in favour of concentrating its resources on property and marine reinsurance.
Chief executive Russell Brooke, said: “The rebranding is yet another step in achieving our three key objectives for 2004, which are enhanced team, new strategy and new franchise.
“I am confident that Rosemont Re, under the guidance of the new executive management team comprising Paul Spencer, Jonathan Beck and myself, as well as our experienced team of underwriters, will benefit from a distinct platform.
“I look forward to putting the final touches to the underwriting team shortly and I believe that we are now well positioned to capitalize on our transparent business plan and our niche position in the Bermuda market.”
