Hardy Underwriting has said it does not expect the losses caused by the US terrorist attacks to have a material impact on its full year result.

Hardy was exposed to the attacks through its 74% stake in syndicate 382. It said 382 had no direct aviation or propery exposure but some involvement through property catastrophe reinsurance.

It said its overall net loss is not expected to exceed 5% of the syndicate's capacity of £50m.
