Uk homeowners are too apathetic when it comes to insuring their homes properly, according to Primary Direct.
In its survey of 1,000 homeowners, 53% knew they didn't have to take up the home insurance deal offered by their mortgage provider, but had taken it anyway because they were too “uninvolved” to find a better option. Around 57% were also aware they could move their home insurance without changing their mortgage arrangements.
Many householders felt the savings in shopping around were too small to bother with.
