Home emergency company Homeserve today confirmed it had acquired disaster restoration firm Chem Dry UK for £18.9m, on a debt-free basis.

Chem Dry provides fire and flood disaster restoration businesses and carpet and upholstery cleaning through its network of over 230 franchisees.

Chem Dry declared end of year profits in 2004 of £2.6m, and has net assets of £4.8m.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
