French and UK exchanges see insurers’ share prices rise

European insurer share prices rose again yesterday with the FT reporting that analysts believe insurers could lead a sustained share price rally, and The Telegraph said UK insurers were leading the UK Stock Exchanges defences.

Europe’s top two insurers Allianz and Axa both saw rises yesterday.

  • Allianz rose 2.2% to €54.52
  • AXA rose 7.7% to €7.60, adding 4 points to a 10 point rise in the French CAC 40 index, which gained 0.4% to 2,674.2.
  • In London, Legal & General and Aviva both rose 8.2%

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
