International research company Nunwood Consulting is to undertake a broker tracking study to help the insurance industry manage its relationships with intermediaries.
The research programme will be used to track the views of over 300 brokers per month. Initial results will be available on a dedicated website within 24 hours of collection, while a detailed management summary will be available within four days.
A syndicate of insurers, including Norwich Union, Allianz Cornhill, AXA, Royal & SunAlliance and Zurich, awarded the £100,000 per year contract to Nunwood, which was established in 1996.
Nunwood managing director Clare Bruce said: " Whilst we are using traditional techniques to collect information, the use of web technology looks set to transform the way the insurance industry undertakes its research and manages its relationship with intermediaries.
"We aim to give immediate analysis and feedback, which means that the results will become an extremely important management tool in an increasingly competitive market."
