Nottingham office head Sally Swann replaces departing Wendy Ashley

Appoint, appointment, hand, handshake, shake, new, join

JLT Specialty has appointed Sally Swann as the new head of its Birmingham risk practice.

She replaces Wendy Ashley, who is leaving the business.

Swann joined JLT in 2012 from Towergate to open the broker’s Nottingham office, which she will continue to lead.

Head of JLT Specialty’s regional risk practice Stuart Winter said: “This is a great opportunity for Sally to continue to grow the JLT Specialty business in the Midlands region, building on her proven success in Nottingham.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
