KPMG has appointed a new head of its restructuring insurance solutions practice.

The company said Mike Walker will take over from Tony McMahon who retires from KPMG in April 2007.

Mike has been in the restructuring insurance solutions team for nearly 15 years.

He said, “As seen from the latest KPMG/ARC Run-off Survey 2006, the UK market is huge with an increasing amount of trapped capital. The industry, both in the UK and overseas, is looking for new ways to drive both operational and capital efficiencies. Our team has a wealth of practical experience that can help our clients to achieve these objectives”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
