No, not a Lloyd's-related story, but a further example of how the dreaded compensation culture is interfering with every aspect of our lives. This time, a London council is cutting down 4,500 lime trees because they are the cause of large insurance pay-outs. It seems the trees are attracting insects and their droppings are making the pavements slippery.
