Michael Collins, who has been head of the Lloyd's Policy Signing Office (LPSO) for the last six years, has stepped down.
Collins who is also non-executive chairman of intermediary The Broker Network Limited was appointed general manager of LPSO in 1996.
LPSO and the London Processing Centre merged a year ago into Xchanging ins-sure Services, a new business managed by outsource specialist Xchanging.
Collins was appointed a director of this company but will also step down from that role when he leaves the LPSO at the end of this month.
He is credited with modernising LPSO and integrating the administration arm of the Lloyd's Claims Office in 1999. He also chaired the documentation initiative of LMP 2001 and took a leading role in preparing LPSO for its divestment from Lloyd's Corporation.
Collins commented on his retirement: "I have truly enjoyed the last few years in the Lloyd's market; there certainly have been `interesting times' and I am looking forward to taking on whatever new challenges come my way."
