Halifax Home Insurance has revealed that friends' pesky children are likely to break more than a million pieces of furniture in the coming year, leaving 967,000 items of furniture needing to be professionally dry cleaned following damage caused by food and drink spillages.
And they will destroy an estimated 800,000 items of sentimental importance.
