‘Entering 2026 as one unified brand positions us to deepen our role as a trusted advisor and accelerate growth across the UK,’ says chief executive

US-based fintech and insurance firm Acrisure has completed a rebrand of UK brokers Russell Scanlan and WH&R McCartney, following their purchases in June 2022 and May 2024 respectively.

Nottingham-based Russell Scanlan and Motherwell-based WH&R McCartney will now operate under the Acrisure UK Broking name and branding, a move which the firm said was a “significant milestone in Acrisure’s approach to building a unified broking platform in the UK”.

According to Graeme Robb, managing director of the Acrisure UK Broking Motherwell office – previously known as WH&R McCartney – “aligning fully with the Acrisure brand brings real value”.

“It opens the door to a much broader range of products and services, helping us offer even more to support the growth and protection of our clients,” he said.

“Becoming part of Acrisure has given us access to a global network of experts while staying true to the service and independence our clients trust us for.”

Mike Dickinson, regional director for the Midlands at Acrisure UK Broking, added: “Russell Scanlan’s commitment to delivering outstanding service has always been central to who we are and has set us apart for more than a century.

“Acrisure shares this ethos and joining the business has given us access to the tools and capability needed to build on this offering. We’re looking forward to entering this new chapter and growing together.”

Unified brand

The two companies are the latest in a series of broker purchases and rebrands Acrisure has overseen, with firms Sutton Winson, Affinity Brokers, FinCred, Building and Land Guarantees (BLG), CRK and Hine all moving under the Acrisure brand recently.

Mark McIlquham, chief executive at Acrisure UK, said: “The completion of our broker rebrands is a pivotal moment for our business. Entering 2026 as one unified brand positions us to deepen our role as a trusted advisor and accelerate growth across the UK.

“By combining the local knowledge of our brokers with Acrisure’s scale and digital capability, we are further strengthening our ability to support SMEs, corporates and private clients across the country.”
