’By focusing on addressing the gaps that currently exist in products for this important market, we are ensuring they have access to the right level of protection,’ says managing director

Addept Insurance Services has launched a new commercial legal protection proposition to expand its portfolio of legal expenses (LEI) solutions.

The new offering provides micro, small and medium sized businesses with access to legal protection insurance and specialist commercial and employment law assistance.

Alongside the legal protection insurance product and employment legal service, business owners have access to an extensive legal assistance hub.

This offers interactive legal documents and resources, guidance and information on a broad range of legal matters and access to specialist commercial legal advice provided by Lyons Davidson Solicitors.

Adapting to employment law

The new offering provides protections for a range of risks, such as employment disputes, breach of employment contracts, property protection, personal injury, loss of income from jury service and legal hearings and debt recovery.

Commenting on the launch of the proposition, managing director at Addept Insurance Richard Finan said: “The new employment rights bill will bring in significant changes to employment law that will provide greater protection for workers that will impact all sizes of business.

“But smaller employers may be more exposed to higher compliance and operating costs as a result. Enterprise legal club is not an off-the-shelf solution. A ‘one-size fits all’ commercial product does not respond to the specific needs of many smaller businesses.

”By focusing on addressing the gaps that currently exist in products for this important market, we are ensuring they have access to the right level of protection and the relevant information customers need to support their commercial needs.”
