’I’m hugely proud of what we have been able to achieve together over the years,’ says Hobbs
Allianz UK has announced that Nick Hobbs will step down from his role as chief distribution officer and chairman of Allianz Engineering Inspection Services.

Hobbs has been with the insurer for 25 years and held a variety of roles at AGCS in the UK, Europe and North America, before joining Allianz UK in 2011 as head of strategic account management. He took up his latest role in 2023.
Allianz said Hobbs will remain with the business for a transition period to ensure continuity for broker partners and customers.
Phuong Ly, managing director for Allianz Commercial UK, said: “I’d like to thank Hobbs for his outstanding contribution to Allianz over the past 25 years.
”His dedication, leadership and commitment to the market have been immense.
“I’m grateful that he will remain with the business during this transition period to support a thorough handover and ensure continuity for our partners. We wish him all the very best for the next chapter when it arrives.”
Hobbs added: “Allianz Commercial in the UK is a great business made up of the most extraordinarily dedicated and gifted people. I’m hugely proud of what we have been able to achieve together over the years. We’ve never stopped looking for things we can make better and succeeding at it.”

Finally, Adam Lloyd will continue as chief underwriting officer, with additional responsibility for technical pricing, which will now sit within his remit.
Ly said: “I’m delighted to share the new leadership appointments, which reflect the depth and strength of talent we have across Allianz Commercial.
”This experienced team brings together strong market knowledge, technical expertise and a clear focus on delivery, ensuring we are well positioned to deliver on our ambition to be the easiest commercial insurer to do business with.”
