’It’s fantastic to see our contributions making a real difference through fantastic Barnardo’s initiatives,’ says head

Allianz has raised over £300,000 for Barnardo’s in its first year of partnership with the charity.

Barnardo’s is a UK-based children’s charity that provides support to vulnerable children, young people and families.

Allianz said it had raised £356,000 for the charity so far, marking a “significant step” towards its £1m target over three years.

Rodney Assock, head of CSR at Allianz UK, said: “I am thrilled that we have raised over £350,000 for Barnardo’s in our first year and would like to thank our employees for their incredible fundraising efforts.

“It’s fantastic to see our contributions making a real difference through fantastic Barnardo’s initiatives, which are helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their potential.”

Initiatives

The money will be used to support Barnardo’s Child Poverty Fund, as well as its Employment Training and Skills (ETS) programme.

The programme provides over 970 young people with the opportunity to join ETS courses, expanding their career prospects and offering them a promising start in life.

Lynn Perry, chief executive at Barnardo’s, said: “Every pound raised by our corporate partners Allianz is invaluable in our goal of making childhoods healthier, happier, safer and more hopeful.

“We thank them for their amazing efforts so far and can’t wait to see what the future holds for our partnership.”
