’We are constantly listening and acting upon broker feedback to make digital trading as easy as possible for our partners and clients,’ says head
Allianz has rolled out a new broker tool in a move designed to tackle underinsurance and simplify SME trading.
The Smart Broker Brief, announced on 18 August 2025, uses more than 40 data points from internal and external sources to provide brokers with tailored insights into clients.
Allianz said the tool would support brokers in identifying underinsurance and other risks, while also reducing preparation time ahead of client meetings.
Initially available via email for quotes and renewals on packaged policies, a second release of the Smart Broker Brief will extend availability to all customers at the point of quote.
Platform update
Alongside the new brief, Allianz has also implemented several updates to its QuoteSME platform – a digital quote-and-buy service for SME businesses.

The insurer said enhancements had been guided by broker feedback and included a redesigned interface, a smart search bar for faster lookups and a revised mini fleet workflow allowing for bulk vehicle entry.
A new sums insured confirmation page has also been introduced, comparing rebuild values against typical ranges to flag potential underinsurance during the quote process.
In the Insurance Times’ Five Star Rating Report: eTrading 2025, QuoteSME, received a four-star rating with a composite score of 3.87. However, it was noted that QuoteSME faced challenges in quotability, impacting its overall evaluation.
Allianz said that both the Smart Broker Brief and QuoteSME upgrades were now live, providing brokers with “actionable insights and streamlined processes” to drive client conversations and improve trading efficiency.
Alex Ktenidis, head of digital trading and ALP at Allianz UK, said: “At Allianz, we are constantly listening and acting upon broker feedback to make digital trading as easy as possible for our partners and clients.
“Our Smart Broker Brief and QuoteSME platform upgrades bring the strength of Allianz insights to our brokers and streamline processes so our partners can spend more time on what is most important, delivering exceptional service and outcomes for their customers.”
