‘His appointment reflects our continued investment in our digital capabilities,’ says head of digital

Arch Insurance International has appointed Fred Bisson as head of digital algorithms as the insurer continues to expand its digital trading capabilities.

Effective immediately, Bisson will lead the development of algorithmic propositions across Arch’s international platform, covering the London market, UK regional business, Australia and the European Union and Bermuda.

Working within the insurer’s strategic analytics division, he will collaborate with underwriting teams to develop digital tools designed to support broker’s evolving placement needs.

Head of digital Ed Short said that the appointment reflected Arch’s continued investment in digital capabilities and its commitment to supporting brokers through technology.

“His appointment reflects our continued investment in our digital capabilities and commitment to supporting brokers in their placement strategies,” he said.

Experience

Bisson brings a decade of insurance industry experience to the role, having most recently served as data science director at Arch.

Before joining the insurer in 2024, he held predictive modelling and actuarial positions at Allianz Commercial and WTW.

Based in London, Bisson will report to Steven Perkins, head of strategic analytics, in his new role.

Perkins said Bisson’s experience in artificial intelligence (AI) and analytics made him well suited to lead the insurer’s algorithmic development.

“His proven expertise in developing advanced AI and analytics tools that support informed decision-making across our specialty business makes him an ideal fit for this new role,” he said.
