Ardonagh Advisory taps low code to accelerate digital transformation

Ardonagh Advisory, the SME broking and advisory platform of the Ardonagh Group, has adopted a low code platform to accelerate digital transformation.

The firm said the new platform would enable it to accelerate some project delivery time frames from six months to 30 days.

Low code technology requires little to no coding to build applications and processes.

The Mendix low code platform Ardonagh Advisory settled on to integrate into software development practices will also support the production of new digital products.

Tom Clark, chief technology officer of Ardonagh Advisory, said: “As we’re creating a new, scalable, flexible and resilient platform, we looked for the best solution to achieve support for this transformation – and Mendix was a clear winner.

Strategic position

Ardonagh Advisory also intends to use low code technology to automate administrative heavy tasks and free up staff to spend more time with customers.

Nick Ford, chief growth officer of Mendix, added: “Mendix’s low-code platform allows organisations like Ardonagh Advisory to undergo complex digital transformations, offering robust yet flexible solutions tailored to their needs.”

But Ford noted that “security is paramount for the insurance industry”, which is why it provided development guardrails.
