Biba has appointed Iain Anderson to its board as a non-executive director.
Anderson was the former chair and founder of H/Advisors Cicero public policy agency. He now has a portfolio of public, private sector and third sector non-executive roles and recently led an independent review of government business relations.
He will join Biba’s board from 22 September 2025.
Graeme Trudgill, the trade body’s chief executive, said: “Anderson’s outstanding experience in public affairs, along with his public and private sector expertise, will add invaluable insight to our main board.
“His knowledge and experience will help support how Biba works to achieve mutual aims on behalf of members.”
‘Excited’ to join
Biba’s board is predominantly made up of practicing insurance brokers who represent the different segments of Biba membership.

In addition, Jonathan Evans and Caroline Barr, chair and incoming chair respectively, are both non-executive directors.
Anderson said: “Biba is recognised as one of the most effective industry organisations in the UK with a membership employing more than 100,000 people. It is at the forefront of helping business and consumers manage risk.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
