Insurance Times rounds up the most significant appointments, promotions and leadership changes from 3 to 7 November 2025
Among the moves this week, Gallagher appointed David Rush to its UK board as an independent non-executive director.

He will also become chair of the Audit Committee, replacing Jamie Drummond-Smith, who will stand down as a non-executive director in February 2026 after 12 years with the business.
Rush spent nearly 40 years at Deloitte in Australia and the UK, where he was a partner and a member of the global insurance executive team, as well as head of EMEA insurance.
Meanwhile, Biba appointed Sarah Chadburn, director at One Call Insurance, as chair of its Regional Chairs’ Advisory Board.
Chadburn had been chair of Biba’s Yorkshire and Northern Regional Committee and will now also sit on the broker body’s main board.
She succeeds John Batty of Bridge Insurance Brokers, who has reached the end of his tenure and will now join Biba’s Insurance Brokers’ Standards Committee.
This week also saw Markerstudy appoint Victoria Price as capacity and partnerships director.
Price has spent more than 25 years in distribution and capacity-focused roles, including at Allianz Personal Broker, Direct Line Group, BGL Group, ComparetheMarket, Howden and LV.
In her new role, she will lead Markerstudy’s capacity and partnerships distribution division and report to Markerstudy Distribution chief executive Emma Rawlinson.
After that, JMG Group named Scott Bennett, former managing director of Bravo Networks, as group insurer director.
Bennett became branch director for Towergate in Manchester in March 2025, following the transition of Bravo Networks under the Everywhen brand. He has now confirmed he has taken up his new role at JMG Group.
Finally, Axa XL appointed Sabrina Lahrmann as its new head of international property for the UK and Lloyd’s.
Lahrmann, who has more than 20 years of insurance market experience, was previously underwriting manager for Axa XL’s UK and Lloyd’s international property team.
In her new position, she will be responsible for developing and executing the underwriting strategy across the division.
