’She is extremely well positioned to lead this dynamic, client-focused team and managing this diverse book of business,’ says head

Axa XL has appointed Sabrina Lahrmann as its new head of international property for UK and Lloyd’s.

In her new role, Lahrmann will be responsible for developing and executing the underwriting strategy for Axa XL’s international property retail business in the UK and Lloyd’s market.

Based in London, she started her new role on 1 November 2025.

Experience

Lahrmann has over 20 years of insurance market experience, the majority of this in underwriting and risk management.

She was previously underwriting manager for Axa XL’s UK and Lloyd’s international property team, a role she held since May 2024.

Ben Kinsella, head of risk managed, retail, UK and Lloyd’s, said: “Our clients continue to face into a complex and ever-changing risk environment driven by multiple factors ranging from fluctuating property prices to geopolitical instability to regulatory requirements.

”Coupled with insured natural catastrophe losses reaching $137bn globally in 2024 and expected to be higher in the future, the need for expertise and experience is vital.

“Lahrmann and her team have a strong reputation, helping clients to effectively navigate these complexities. She is extremely well positioned to lead this dynamic, client-focused team and managing this diverse book of business.”
