’We are excited to launch our latest recruitment drive for new apprentices,’ says group HR director

Insurance broker AbbeyAutoline has launched a recruitment drive for school leavers to “kickstart” their careers in the financial services industry.

The programme, run in partnership with Belfast Met, offers apprentices Level 2 and 3 NVQ qualifications in financial services.

They will also gain experience working within AbbeyAutoline’s personal sales team.

Wendy Close, group HR director at AbbeyAutoline, said: “We are excited to launch our latest recruitment drive for new apprentices.

“Our apprenticeship programme is designed to offer more than just a job, it provides participants with a fantastic opportunity to earn while they learn, gaining hands-on experience and qualifications that will serve them well throughout their careers.”

Time

Apprentices will split their time between Belfast Met and an AbbeyAutoline branch, allowing them to apply what they learn to real-world scenarios.

Close added: “As AbbeyAutoline continues to grow, our apprentices will play a key role in shaping the future of our business and we are dedicated to supporting their professional development every step of the way.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
