’My priority is to ensure our protocols remain rigorous and effective as we provide specialised finality solutions to the market,’ says appointee

Carrick Group has appointed Matt Brand as head of governance.

Based in London, Brand is responsible for ensuring that all of the insurer’s operations are compliant with regulators in Bermuda and the UK.

“I am thrilled to lead the corporate governance function at Carrick Holdings,” said Brand.

“My priority is to ensure our protocols remain rigorous and effective as we provide specialised finality solutions to the market. I look forward to leveraging my background in the sector to protect the interests of our stakeholders and support Carrick’s long-term success.”

Experience

Brand spent 10 years at Hampden Group, most recently as group head of operations.

He started his career in 2005 at Seymour Taylor, before moving to Blick Rothenberg, where he was client manager.

In his new role, Brand will report to Carrick’s chief executive Tom Nichols.

Nichols said: “As Carrick continues to grow into new regulated jurisdictions, we are delighted to welcome Brand to head up our global corporate governance, ensuring that Carrick continues its regulatory excellence with consistency and transparency.”
