Sutherland had held the role for five years

Brightside chief financial officer Ian Sutherland has left the broker.

A filing on companies house reveals Sutherland left the role on 29 April, and Brightside confirmed he has left the firm.

Sutherland had held the role since joining Brightside in May 2014 from Barbon Insurance, where he had been chief executive.

Brightside announced in December it was making structural changes to its management, in a move that saw former managing director of insurance David Sweeney leave the broker.

Brendan McCafferty, group chief executive, said: “I would like to thank Ian for his service to Brightside during nearly five years and wish him well for the future.”
