’This has affected a small number of employees and we are working with them to explore other opportunities within Travelers Europe,’ says spokesperson
Travelers has confirmed that jobs have been impacted as part of a restructure in the UK and Ireland.

The insurance firm is streamlining operations in the UK and Ireland as it looks to “enhance efficiencies”.
However, the move has had an impact on jobs, with it being confirmed that a small number of employees have been affected.
A spokesperson for Travelers Europe told Insurance Times: “We’re streamlining our operations in the UK and Ireland to enhance efficiencies and better serve our brokers and customers.
”This has affected a small number of employees and we are working with them to explore other opportunities within Travelers Europe and provide outplacement services, if necessary.”
Ageas’ plans
Another firm that announced job cuts recently was Ageas UK, with it saying in May 2026 that it expects headcount to reduce to 2,000 by 2029, supported by 900 outsourced roles through strategic partners.

Ageas UK chief executive Ant Middle told Insurance Times that after the Esure deal concluded, his firm spent around three months “to really do the detailed planning” around what bringing all its acquired businesses together should look like and “what our ambition for the future would be in terms of the operating model for the business, the capabilities we need and the size and shape of the business as well”.
