Jensten Group has acquired commercial broker Northern Counties to expand its regional footprint.

Northern Counties, which has offices in Gateshead and Glasgow, will become part of Jensten’s Regional Broking Division as part of the deal.
The family-run broker also brings a 20 strong team of experienced professionals to the group and a heritage spanning over 50 years.
This acquisition is the first following confirmation of Jensten Group’s reinvestment partnership with Bain Capital.

Regional leadership
The transaction, which includes subsidiaries NCinsurance and NCstirling, is subject to regulatory approval.

As part of the deal, Philip Belgian will join Jensten as regional managing director for the north east.
Bringing a wealth of industry experience, Belgian has been at the helm of Northern Counties for over 15 years and was a founding member of Broker Network.
