’She’s a great addition to our PI team, which has gone from strength to strength in recent years,’ says chief executive
Manchester-based Bridge Insurance Brokers has appointed Julia Whittle as its new director of professional indemnity (PI).

Based in the Bridge’s headquarters in Charlotte Street, Whittle will work to grow the PI team, with there being plans to expand this division in both the broker’s London and Manchester locations.
She will also work closely with the real estate and FlatGuard teams, as well as Bridge’s in-house claims team, to provide an expert and joined-up approach for architects, surveyors, engineers and property managers.
“Bridge really is the best of both worlds,” said Whittle.
“As an independent broker, it has flexibility and agility to create tailored insurance programmes for all different client needs. And as a well-established, very respected organisation that has been in operation for almost 60 years, Bridge also has an enviable infrastructure with excellent relationships across the industry.
“I’m delighted to be joining the team.”
Experience
With over 16 years’ experience in insurance, Whittle has worked for national brokers as well as smaller independents.

At Bridge, she will report to chief executive Roger Potts.
Potts said: ”She brings a wealth of knowledge from her senior roles at several leading brokers.
“She’s a great addition to our PI team, which has gone from strength to strength in recent years.
”As an independent broker, Bridge is not tied to any one insurer, allowing us to secure the best outcomes for our clients. That approach has earned us strong referrals and continued growth — and with that, the need to keep bringing in the best talent.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
