The new MGA ’demonstrates our continued commitment to giving exceptional underwriters the freedom and backing to build successful businesses’, says chief executive
Global MGA incubator Mission has reached an agreement to support a new team to launch a UK commercial combined MGA in Q4 2025.

Called Lumara Insurance, the MGA will specialise in business insurance and motor trade combined products for UK brokers.
”[The] products bring together cover for all key risks in a single, easy-to-manage policy,” Mission said.
”The approach combines relationship-driven service, tailored solutions and expertise delivered by experienced underwriters supported by intelligent technology.”
The MGA will be led by David Aslin and Mark Greig, who both bring decades of experience in the UK regional commercial insurance market to the new business.
Experience
Both joining from Covéa, Aslin most recently spent over seven years as its head of mid-market, while Grieg served as the underwriting manager in the south of the UK.

Prior to this, Aslin had stints in leadership roles at Arista as regional director for nearly three years and NIG as head of regional operations in the west and midlands in 2005.
Meanwhile, Greig has held senior positions including regional underwriting manager at Pen Underwriting for nearly five years and head of office property and liability underwriter at LV from 2010.
Ross Dingwall, chief executive at Mission, said: “Aslin and Greig are exactly the kind of underwriting talent we look to partner with – proven track records, deep broker relationships and a clear vision for their market.
“Lumara represents our eighth UK launch and demonstrates our continued commitment to giving exceptional underwriters the freedom and backing to build successful businesses.”
Mission expects to announce additional MGA launches in late 2025 and early 2026.
