Brunel PI Brokers has launched a specialist broker for the techology industry.
Called BrunelTech, the broker specialises in high growth, high change tech businesses, from artificial intelligence (AI) and medtech to platforms, publishers and more.
Products include cyber and data insurance, crime, theft and fraud, IP and idea protection, general liability, professional indemnity and directors and officers insurance.
”Whether companies are just starting, scaling up or expanding, BrunelTech’s team combines in-depth sector insight with real-world experience and can create insurance packages that meet company’s budgets and their coverage needs”, the broker said.
Russell Lane, chief executive at Brunel Group, added: “The creation of BrunelTech is an exciting step forward for us as a group and for companies across the tech spectrum, including fintech, medtech, gaming, Esports and others.”

BrunelTech is launching under the leadership of Joe Newbury, who has worked at Brunel PI Brokers since May 2024.

Before this, he spent two years at Superscript, where he was most recently senior account manager.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
