’Our new office is a significant step in our commitment to better serve clients in the south west,’ says managing director
Brunel Insurance Brokers has opened a new office in Cornwall.
Located in Hayle, the new space is the broker’s 10th UK office. The firm said the expansion strenghted its presence in the south west and supported its continued growth strategy across the UK.
The Hayle office will be led by Brendon Ladner, an experienced insurance professional with ties to the local community and marine sector.
A team of five colleagues will work alongside Ladner, with there being plans to double headcount within the next 12 months.
Ladner said: “I am delighted to be opening a new office in Hayle for one of the UK’s leading independent insurance brokers. Having lived in the area my whole life, I know that Cornwall is a unique county and Brunel recognise this, it understands the need to have a local office looking after the needs of the local community.
“I chose to work with Brunel as they are an independent, customer-focused company who embed themselves within the communities they operate.”
‘Significant step’
This is the broker’s third new office opening in 2025, following launches earlier this year in Cardiff and South Molton.

To mark the opening, a formal launch party will be taking place in October, where Brunel will welcome key clients, insurer partners and local connections to celebrate the new office.
Matt Harlin, managing director at Brunel, said: “Our new office in Hayle is a significant step in our commitment to better serve clients in the south west. Cornwall has a proud maritime heritage and a thriving coastal economy.
”With Ladner leading the team, we’re excited to build strong relationships and deliver the high-quality, personal service Brunel is known for.”
