Insurance Times rounds up the most significant appointments, hires and leadership developments from 27 to 31 July 2026
Among this week’s biggest moves was Adam Winslow officially starting his new role as group chief executive at CFC.
Speaking on his first day, Winslow said: “CFC is an exceptional business and it’s clear to see the energy, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit that have made it such a success.”
In further MGA news, Pen Underwriting expanded its UK construction and casualty practice with four underwriting appointments.
The moves see Dawn Strong join as senior casualty underwriter in the MGA’s Liphook office, Ravi Banger appointed casualty underwriter in Birmingham, while Ollie Jochimsen and Josh Murphy have joined the London construction and casualty team as casualty underwriter and assistant underwriter respectively.
Then, Aviva appointed Emma Stewart as personal lines chief underwriting officer, with the appointee making the move from her position as chief actuary at Lloyd’s to take up the role on 1 December 2026.
Next, Bspoke Group appointed Wayne Tonge as managing director of commercial and delegated authority as the business looks to further align its underwriting operations.
The appointment, which is subject to regulatory approval, sees Tonge take on the newly created role alongside his existing responsibilities as managing director of commercial and managing director of Miramar Underwriting
Finally, MGA capital partner Mission is set to launch a new specialist property MGA, called Kyntra, which will be led by David Gibson and Robert Purser.
Both Gibson and Purser join the new Dublin-based firm from Aon-owned NFP.
