Insurance Times marked the launch of its new Destination Insurance campaign with a webinar this week (21 November), during which market experts discussed the challenges and opportunities ahead when it comes to the industry’s talent pipeline.
The online launch event, chaired by Insurance Times editor Katie Scott, also provided an exclusive first look at the charter commitments.
Scott was joined on the panel by HDI chief people officer Gemma McWilliam, Zurich Insurance’s head of people Steve Collinson and the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) executive director for strategy, advocacy and professional standards Adam Harper.
Topics discussed included how to form robust talent pipelines, elevating employee development and cultivating inclusive cultures.
Commenting on the launch of the charter, Scott said: ”For us, Destination Insurance is a collaborative platform for talent-based discussions, where the siloes of industry subsectors or firm type are swept away and market participants can truly put their heads together to share best practice, learnings, challenges and ideas when it comes to futureproofing talent in our sector.
“This mentality is very much based on feedback and conversations we have had with you all over the last year or so and we are dedicated to being the prime facilitator and connector for talent focused conversations, to help secure the future of UKGI as a flourishing, diverse, innovative and successful profession.”
