NIG has expanded its Scotland-based sales team with several appointments.

William Simpson has been named regional sales executive for personal lines, with responsibility for maximising agent business potential throughout Scotland.

In addition, Gwenda Watt has joined NIG as broker development and account management, joining from Legal & General.

The role involves building upon existing relationships within the Scottish broker market to maximise profitable growth within the region, assessing new development opportunities, and performance management and business planning, said NIG.

NIG director of personal lines Adrian Harris, said: “We are extremely pleased to have William and Gwenda join NIG Personal Lines, they will be valuable assets to us, as well as demonstrating to brokers our investment in a new Scottish team, which will increase NIG's presence and create a better awareness of local issues.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
