Norwich Union has slashed 30 director positions as part of its ongoing restructuring.

A spokesperson said some of the directors may be offered positions elsewhere in the company.

The main changes took place within the sales and marketing and operations, however jobs were cut across the board.

The spokesperson said: “Those roles no longer exist in the new structure. At this stage, we don’t know who can be accommodated elsewhere.”

Trading director Janice Deakin has been promoted to corporate sales director. Her replacement has not officially been announced.

The company is looking to cut jobs from the senior management team next, and will continue down the ranks until restructuring is complete.
