Portman Building Society has joined forces with Marsh Affinity, part of risk and insurance services firm Marsh, to extend its range of insurance services.
The agreement will allow Portman to offer buildings and contents insurance to savers as well as borrowers.
A Portman spokesman said: "We aim to provide a wide range of high quality products and services for our customers that are both relevant and competitive."
Portman is the UK's fourth largest building society. Based in Bournemouth, it serves over one million members, mainly in the south of England.
Marsh Affinity provides branded consumer insurance programmes. It is part of the Marsh group, which has more than 35,000 employees in over 100 countries.
