Lyndon Nelson is among a group of candidates who have been interviewed for the role of PRA chief executive - reports

The Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) executive director for UK deposit-takers supervision Lyndon Nelson has been tipped as a front runner for the role of chief executive.

Nelson currently serves as Andrew Bailey’s deputy, and chairs the PRA’s main executive decision-making meetings on supervision, policy and risk issues.

According to Sky News reports Nelson is among a small number of candidates that have been interviewed about replacing Bailey as PRA chief executive.

The recruitment of a new PRA chief has been triggered by Bailey’s impending move to the FCA.
