Prudential has launched two new travel insurance products, which it claims are cheaper than its rivals offerings.

Prudential hopes the new product will enable it to penetrate the family market.

The insurer claims its new product will not include multiple excesses. The cover also places no restrictions the age of items replaced.

Managing director of Prudential, Mike Quinton, said: "Prudential General Insurance has a long-term reputation to maintain for giving customers a fair deal when they make claims. Holidaymakers naturally look for a good price on their insurance.

"Unfortunately they often only discover what they're insured for when they come to make a claim - which is always too late."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
