QBE boosts general liability underwriting team

QBE has appointed Alastair Herbert and David Draper as joint underwriting managers for its UK and continental Europe general liability portfolio.

Herbert and Draper will report to general liability portfolio manager Ash Bathia.

Herbert joins QBE from Brit where he was an international underwriter, while Draper joins from Chubb Insurance where he was a senior casualty underwriter.

QBE major risks division general manager Steven Price said: “Both appointments will be key in coordinating our expansion strategy, as we improve our penetration into the UK liability market.

“We are certain that their combined knowledge and experience in insurance and the liability market will prove to be invaluable in meeting our business objectives.”
